For those of you who look forward to the NFL every Sunday, there are some key match-ups coming up this week that will make or break a season. The one I have my eye on is the Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings.
How disappointing these teams have been. Look, I know Favre is ancient, but other then a few well put together drives, he’s throwing the ball like Ryan Leaf. That’s unacceptable for anyone. Including Ryan Leaf. If Favre can hit a wide open Percy Harvin against the Jets on Monday, the Vikes go home with a win and a ton of momentum.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys don’t have a head coach, and no, the guy named Wade Phillips who fires two pistols up in the air and jumps around bobbing his little cowboy hat is not Dallas’ head coach. Dallas could be 4-o right now, but instead, they are sitting at 1-3 facing a do- or- die game. So who is going to win?
The Dallas Cowboys. Until Minnesota gets Sidney Rice back, their aerial attack is not a threat. Knowing this, the Cowboys can push up against the run. To look at Dallas’ offense a bit closer, Romo and Williams are finally gaining a rapport, while Favre can only throw deep bombs to Moss. Not to mention the Cowboys are playing well on the road. Brad Childress looks so much like a Brad it freaks me out. DeMarcus Ware is the best OLB in the game. Romo despite being an inferior Favre, is right now, better than Favre. Oh how sad things can become so quickly.
Cowboys 27 Vikings 23
That’s the word.
