Multi-Purpose Products That Actually Make The Grade

by Madison Ruggieri on September 3, 2014.

We’re not typically fans of multi-purpose products. Of course, it’s never a bad idea to save money where you can, but buying a 2-in-1 (or, God forbid, a 5-in-1) product often means that you’re skimping on quality to pinch a penny and maybe a few nanoseconds of shower time. There are, however, a few grooming brands that are really upping the ante on their multi-purpose solutions, and we’re here to shine a spotlight on those multi-use products that are worthy of your shower caddy space.

Most two-in-one facial products will leave your skin scaly, but if you’re looking for one-step exfoliation and gentle cleansing, look no further than Evolution Man Wash and Buff. Like a mini facial, this deep cleansing scrub uses tea tree oil to kill bacteria and vitamin E and soybean oil to restore hydration to the skin.

Pop quiz! How many bottles are in your shower? Two? Three? Think a body wash can’t work wonders for your hair? Think again. If done right, a body wash can clean from head to toe (and everything in between) while still leaving you feeling hydrated and de-grimed. Just make sure you pick a product with high-quality, natural ingredients and moisturizers, like Apivita Hair and Body Wash, to keep your skin and hair looking fresh. This cleanser uses panthenol, wheat proteins and propolis extract to maintain proper pH levels and skin moisture.

In our last lesson for the day, we’re talking shaving. Don’t break out the toilet paper pieces just yet–an all-in-one doesn’t have to be the cause of a total nick-fest. With jojoba oil , macadamia seed oil and eucalyptus, Jack Black Beard Lube Conditioning Shave acts like a pre shave oil, shave cream and post shave treatment all in the same blue bottle. The lightweight, see-through formula softens facial hair and allows you to see where you’re shaving. Fatty acids and eucalyptus leaf tone and hydrate skin even after you rinse clean.

These products are proof that it’s possible to streamline your routine without sacrificing quality. Just be sure to choose gentle, hydrating formulas with natural ingredients for the best results.

Pro Tip: 2-in-1 products are no longer relegated to the dollar store. Look for products with high-quality ingredients to take care of your hair, face and body, and you’ll be good to go.
