The Importance of Moisturizer

by Madison Ruggieri on April 19, 2010.

A skin care step often overlooked by men, facial moisturizer is actually key for getting smooth, healthy looking skin.  Many of us only think to apply a moisturizer when our faces start to resemble the Sahara, but moisturizer is something that should be used on a daily basis following cleansing.  Hydration is vital for all skin types, not just those who are exceptionally dry.  Using a moisturizer can also help reduce oil production by providing skin with needed hydration so that it secretes less oils.  Plus, consistent use of a moisturizer will help reduce the development of wrinkles and fine lines by keeping skin nourished and improving elasticity.

We particularly like Billy Jealousy’s Combination Code Face Moisturizer with green tea and aloe vera because it’s lightweight and absorbs quickly for the guy on the go but definitely has major impact.  Packed with antioxidants and vitamins, this product goes beyond just adding hydration to the skin.  Green tea, chamomile and calendula protect against environmental damage which is especially important right now with the winds blowing and allergies flaring.  Give it a try at and let us know what you think!
